Animal Ethics

The Research Ethics at the university provides support to UQ researchers in the form of compliance incorporating human ethics, animal welfare, and research integrity.

Biological Resources encourages all workers to visit the UQ Research website for Ethics, integrity, compliance and animal ethics information.

The Animal Ethics unit within the ORE requests all staff and students complete the mandatory online training where they seek approval from the UQ Animal Ethics Committee for hands-on animal work. This requirement is also part of the Biological Resources induction process and for all staff and students that use animals for research and teaching.
