Standard technical support

These are the technical support services offered by Biological Resources that are included under the Users' Contractual Agreement:

  • Water quality monitoring and testing

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Tank cleaning

  • Provision & restock maintenance of basic consumables

  • Animal feeding

  • Larval rearing

  • Colony health monitoring and management

  • Basic training support (sexing fish, mating tank setup, embryo collection etc.)

  • Computer access (where available)

  • Wireless access to UQ eduroam network in all aquariums

Advanced technical support

These are the additional technical support services offered by Biological Resources that are NOT included under the standard Users' Service Agreement.  

These services are charged at full direct-cost to the user accessing the service:

  • In-vitro fertilization

  • Visible Implant Elastomer Tagging

  • Fin Clipping

  • Microinjection

  • Experimental setup and procedure support (including timed matings)

  • Advanced training support
