At a glance

  • Holding for both mice and rats within PC2 conditions
  • Low level pathogen exclusion within IVCs
  • Suitable for projects requiring use of adjacent equipment within Centre of Advanced Imaging
  • Both short and longer term holding available where stocking densities allow, including rodents with radioactivity.

The BR-CAI facility is designed to accomodate rodent holding for projects both prior to, and following injection of radioisotopes, and during short and longer term imaging studies. Accommodating various pathogens due to the flexiblility of animal movements required to and from the holding location. The facility's entry requirements support frequent access and easy movement of animals to adjacent rooms within the Centre for Advanced Imaging.

Facility metrics

Current users can use the below facility information to report in enough detail facility information. Reporting animal research in adherence with the ARRIVE guidelines ensures transparent and thorough reporting. This enables readers and reviewers to scrutinise the research adequately, evaluate its methodical rigour, and reproduce the methods or findings. Research groups considering non-standard caging (opting out of a standard cage), should consider the following article to support understanding about indirect impacts to research design Reproducibility and Rigor in Animal-Based Research
